Executive Vice President & Chief Customer Officer
Scott Rouse has been Tyson Foods’ senior vice president of customer development since 2006. He was named chief customer officer in October of 2014 following the acquisition of The Hillshire Brands Company. In August of 2015, he assumed responsibility for food service chain restaurants and in 2016 assumed responsibility for all Tyson Foods North American Food Service and Retail sales.
Scott is part of Tyson Foods’ enterprise leadership team and reports to President Dean Banks.
Scott is responsible for a team of more than 850 professionals dedicated to serving Tyson Foods customers. Together, they develop business strategy and growth plans with national restaurant chains and grocery chains, broad line distributors, school lunch programs, membership clubs, dollar stores, c-stores and non-commercial sales where the company’s products are sold.
Scott is skilled in developing joint business plans with Tyson Foods’ customers designed to sustain growth for both companies. Leading expertise within the company includes eCommerce, consumer insights and trends, category leadership platforms, in-store demand creation through customer marketing, and product development with customers in all channels.
Scott joined Tyson Foods Consumer Products in 2004, as vice president of Grocery. He previously had a successful, 15-year sales career with the Dial Corporation.
An active member of the board of directors for the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association since 2006, Scott also served as its Chairman in 2016. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Springdale, Arkansas-based Jones Center, a non-profit youth development center.
