Team members are eligible for these benefits starting day one of full-time employment (unless otherwise noted).


Team members have access to in-network healthcare providers.

Certain preventative care is covered at 100% with in-network providers, including child wellness exams, immunizations, mammograms and more!


Vision coverage is offered at no additional cost, and you have the option to enroll in a buy-up plan.

You can use your vision benefit at any licensed eyecare provider.


Dental coverage is offered at no additional cost, and you have the option to enroll in a buy-up plan. 

The dental network is a passive network, meaning you can use any dental provider you choose and still receive coverage.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

FSAs allow eligible team members to pay for qualified health care and dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars.

You can contribute a set amount from your paycheck to both the healthcare and dependent care accounts, but you cannot share or transfer money between the two.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

If you choose the Health Investment Plan you will have access to a Health Savings Account.

This is a personal savings account used for qualified health care expenses with an impressive tax advantage.

Company Paid Life Insurance

Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) are provided at no cost to you.

Basic AD&D Insurance will pay an amount equal to the Basic Life benefit.

Supplemental Life Insurance

Full time team members are eligible to participate in accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity and whole life insurance.

Long term care insurance is available at low group rates to full time team members. Voluntary term life and Voluntary AD&D is also available.

These benefits are effective the first day of the month coinciding with or following date of election.

Short Term Disability Benefits

Short-Term Disability benefits provide income protection to team members during short periods of non-work -related illness or injury.

Long Term Disability Benefits

Provides protection after Short Term Disability benefits are exhausted.

Group Legal Plan

This program gives access to a network of attorneys to provide legal assistance, office consultations, or telephone advice.

Fully-Funded Education

Winning with our team members, customers and consumers begins with each of us. All U.S. based team members are eligible for select fully funded diplomas, certificates, and degrees through high-quality programs, schools, and universities starting day one of employment through Upward Academy Online. This new benefit provides you access to more than 200 education programs, from language and skills training to certificates and college degrees paid by Tyson Foods.

This fully funded benefit provides flexible classes from well-known colleges, universities and learning institutions as well as individual support from coaches through our partner, Guild Education. 401(k) & Stock Purchase Plans

Prepare for your future in retirement with our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan and Stock Purchase Plan.  Our 401(k) plan offers both pre-tax and after-tax Roth contributions.

Once you’ve completed a year of service with the company, Tyson will contribute to your retirement savings in the 401(k) Plan with a match equal to 100% of the first 3% of eligible pay you contribute, plus 50% of the next 2 percent of eligible pay you contribute.

Also after one year, Tyson will match 25% of the first 10% of eligible pay you contribute to the Stock Purchase Plan. Your contributions and Tyson’s contributions to the plans are always 100% vested.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Tyson offers a confidential EAP service available 24/7 to help you and your family work through a wide range of challenges such as stress and anxiety, depression, grief and loss, family and parenting, and more.

Pregnancy Program
Free pregnancy program available to team members and covered spouses. Each mother-to-be is assigned a personal nurse to assist with any questions or concerns.

Tobacco Cessation Program
Team members and their covered dependents 18 years of age or older who use Tobacco are encouraged to participate in this program which offers free personal phone counseling, self-help materials, and free 8-week supply of nicotine replacement therapy (gum or patches).

Paid Parental Leave
Tyson Foods understands how important family responsibilities are for our team members. Especially when a family is growing! The company is offering Parental Leave benefits to provide team members the opportunity to take time off work with pay in order to bond with and care for their Child(ren) following the birth or placement (for adoption) of a Child(ren).  We offer up to eight weeks of Paid Parental Leave for the primary caregiver and up to two weeks for a secondary caregiver.  Paid Parental Leave benefits are available to full-time team members.  (Not required to enroll in Group Health Plan)

Paid Vacation & Holidays*
Tyson Foods rewards team members for their hard work by providing paid vacation and holidays to eligible team members. Paid vacation benefits are available to full-time team members. In addition,  team members are eligible to receive pay for observed holidays. *Paid holidays dates are determined by location.

Online Mental Health Support
Unlimited Messaging Therapy allows team members to easily and privately message their licensed therapist whenever they would like.  You can connect with them in the way you prefer:  Voice, video, or text-based messaging!

Discount Program
Team members have a single destination access to a variety of voluntary benefits and discount programs and services. Examples of products and services available are computer/electronics purchase plans, roadside assistance, home/auto insurance, banking, travel and entertainment, wireless phone/planes, pet insurance, etc. (Not required to enroll in Group Health Plan)

Autism & Learning Disability Program
Team members can take advantage of live teleconsultation with skilled behavior experts to answer questions and provide guidance over the phone or via video 24/7 at no cost.

Adoption Assistance Reimbursement Policy
Provides financial assistance for certain expenses incurred in connection with the finalized adoption of an eligible child. (Not required to enroll in Group Health Plan)
