Tyson Foods’ Northwest Arkansas Team Members and their families turned out in droves March 14 to pack meals for people in need.

Our company was one of several area businesses to participate in The Pack Shack’s NWA vs. Hunger, a three-day hunger-relief activity that took place at Cross Church Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, Arkansas. During our two-hour shift, approximately 425 people packed 125,200 meals. The three-day event garnered 1,300 volunteers, who packed a total of 310,000 meals, which will be distributed to seven different hunger relief groups in Northwest Arkansas.

With the success of the NWA vs. Hunger meal-packing event, our Northwest Arkansas team has taken the lead in its friendly competition with our Siouxland Team. The next Pack Shack event will be in the fall in the Siouxlands. More than 370 Fresh Meats’ Team Members and their families turned out last November to pack 113,021 meals for Siouxland vs. Hunger.
