Our COVID-19 Response

  • In 2020, we hired over 200 extra nurses and administrative support staff to support our on-site efforts to screen, test and isolate team members with COVID-19 symptoms and manage their cases. In 2021, we hired our first Chief Medical Officer. Also, we opened pilot health centers at 7 locations for team members and their families.

  • In August 2021, we required team members at U.S. facilities to be fully vaccinated by November 1, 2021. To achieve a fully vaccinated workforce, we offered expert resources and education. We also held over 200 on-site vaccination clinics and compensated team members for getting vaccinated. As a token of gratitude, we provided “thank you” bonuses to team members who got vaccinated.

  • We continue to educate and encourage team members to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and stay up-to-date on boosters, however we no longer require team members to be vaccinated.

We provided clean masks to every person entering our facility each day at all our locations. We followed CDC guidance and had mask mandates in communities of substantial or high Covid-19 transmission. (Regardless of Vaccination Status)
 

Social Distancing

We modified our processes where feasible to enable Team Members to maintain 6 feet of distance from one another. We installed protective barriers on the production floors and in common areas where distancing was not possible. We dedicated resources to monitor social distance in all our locations to keep each of us vigilant about the rules in place to keep us safe.

Daily Temperature & Symptom Checkpoints and Testing Protocol

Every person entering our facilities had their temperatures checked and underwent a COVID-19 symptom screening. We had an extensive testing process to test symptomatic Team Members and close contacts. Also, we conducted random testing of Team Members without signs or symptoms of COVID.

To protect our team members, their families, and our communities, we required our team members at U.S. office locations to be fully vaccinated by October 1, 2021. All other team members were required to be fully vaccinated by November 1, 2021, subject to ongoing discussions with locations represented by unions.
