Supporting Community Image

From Storm Lake, Iowa and Macon, Georgia to our headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas - these are a few of the more than 100 communities we call home. When our neighbors needed a little extra help, as so many did during the COVID-19 pandemic, we stepped in. Since March 2020, we’ve donated more than 50 million pounds of protein, equal to approximately 200 million meals/servings.

In our response to the pandemic, Tyson Foods donated more protein over 18 months than any other time in its 86-year history.

We created a community response fund to help nonprofits and community organizations most in need in our plant communities across 16 states. As of September 2021, we completed more than 175 projects. They included financial contributions, hunger relief product donations, and childcare services support among others.

Through the Tyson "Helping Hands" program, we provided $6.7 million to support our team members who suffered catastrophic events during the pandemic.

We worked in partnership with Feed the Children and Americold to deliver 2 million meals to families in need, targeting 10 priority cities in rural America.

We partnered with the Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN) to reach a goal of providing 1 million meals to military families nationwide.

We donated more than 92,000 pounds of protein to Millie Peartree and her "Full Hearts, Full Bellies" initiative and fed 5,000 households with food insecurity in Harlem.

We donated hundreds of thousands of pounds of protein to numerous schools and school districts nationwide.
