Cookies Policy

Tyson Foods, Inc. and its subsidiaries, affiliates, and related entities (collectively, “Tyson Foods,” “we” or “us”) want to be clear about what information we collect about you and how we use it. This Cookies Policy applies to everyone who uses our websites, apps, platforms and features (together called “Site(s)”). How tracking works may be different depending on the Site, your location and the device you use. This Cookies Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies when you visit our Sites.

What are tracking technologies?

Tyson Foods uses cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons or pixel tags to collect and store information on computers, phones and other devices. When you visit our Sites or when you open or click on emails we send you, we and our partners may automatically collect personal information from your browser or device, such as device IDs and online activity through these tools.

These cookies include third-party cookies, which are created by external services integrated into our Sites, such as analytics providers, embedded videos and social media widgets. Third-party cookies track your activity across multiple websites, allowing advertisers to target you with personalized content. We use third-party management systems, like Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager and OneTrust, to help manage these tracking tools and respect your consent choices.

  • Cookie: a small text file that websites place on your Internet-connected device to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings in your browser (such as the pages you visited, the date and time of your visit, etc.), which helps the Site remember your preferences and activity.
  • Web Beacon or Pixel Tag: a tiny, invisible graphic embedded into our websites or emails to collect data on how you interact with content, like which pages you visit or if you open an email, by sending information back to the server when content is loaded; pixel tags also helps us (and third parties we work with) to place cookies on your browser.

In this policy, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies."

What types of cookies do we use?

To manage user consent and comply with privacy regulations, our cookies are classified in the following categories:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies ensure the basic functioning of the Sites. They enable core features such as security, network management and accessibility. We usually set them only in response to your actions that request services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. Without these cookies, the website cannot operate properly. Because they do not store any personally identifiable information, they are usually exempt from consent requirements.
  • Performance Cookies: These cookies collect information about how visitors use the Sites, such as which pages are visited most often and if users encounter errors. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the Sites. We use this data to improve the Sites’ performance and user experience. Since these cookies collect aggregated and anonymous information, they do not identify individual users. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our Sites and will not be able to monitor their performance.
  • Functional Cookies: These cookies allow the Sites to remember choices you make, like language or region, and provide enhanced, personalized features. We may also use them to provide services you request, such as live chat support. We or third-party providers whose services we add to our pages may set these cookies. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these services may not work properly.
  • Targeting or Advertising Cookies: These cookies deliver advertisements that are relevant to you and your interests. They track your browsing habits across websites and help build profiles for targeted marketing. Our advertising partners may set these cookies through our Sites. These companies may use them to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant ads on other sites. Although they do not store personal information directly, they uniquely identify your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will see less targeted advertising.
  • Social Media Cookies: Social media cookies let you share content from the Sites on social media platforms and may track how you interact with social media features embedded on the Sites. Various social media services set these cookies to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks. They can track your browser across other sites and build a profile of your interests, which may affect the content and messages you see on other websites. If you do not allow these cookies, you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.

Some cookie categories may vary based on the Site and geographic region. We use different types of cookies on our Sites, including all cookies listed above. For a current, automatically updated list of the cookies and similar technologies used on our Sites, please visit our cookie settings. This list is maintained by our consent management platform and may change as our Sites or third‑party partners update their technologies.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies to monitor Site performance, personalize content and ads, provide social media features and analyze our traffic.  For example, our use of cookies allows us to:

  • Make sure our Sites work well and stay secure, like loading images and letting you log in safely
  • Understand how people use the Site and which parts work well and which don’t, so we can improve it
  • Learn about visitors’ interests by watching browsing habits across Sites
  • Personalize your experience, like recognizing returning visitors and making recommendations, or
  • Show you ads that match your interests and measure how well our ads work.

We work with third-party providers, such as ad network providers, social platforms, sponsors and/or analytics providers, who may set or access cookies when you visit our Sites. Sometimes these providers may use their own tracking tools to collect information about your device and online activity to improve ads (for our products or for products or services of other companies) based on preferences or interests known or inferred from the information collected. These third parties may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites, consistent with their own privacy policies. They use this info to make their products better and target ads more accurately. Where required by law, we provide mechanisms for you to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or to limit the use of sensitive personal information.

Additional Information about Advertising

On Sites that support advertising or marketing cookies, we use interest-based advertising to show you personalized content, services, advertisements and offers. We and our partners use information from cookies and your interactions with us and others to figure out what ads might interest you. For example, we or our partners might look at your purchases or browsing behaviors on our platforms or the platforms of others. We centralize and analyze the information to evaluate and attempt to identify your personal preferences, interests or needs. Interest-based ads are optimized for effectiveness based on this analysis.

We work with third-party companies that help us collect this information and show ads. These third parties might link your name or email address to other information they collect, such as past online and offline purchases or other online usage information. Ads may appear on our Sites or other websites you visit about our products or other companies’ products.

How do we share personal information collected via cookies?

We also share information about your use on our Sites with our third-party partners. These providers generally fall into the following categories:

  • Advertising and Marketing Partners: Networks and platforms that support ad delivery, retargeting, attribution and measurement. We work with third-party advertising companies (such as advertising networks) and advertising technology providers to tailor or serve advertisements on our behalf, measure performance and understand user behavior across websites. These advertising companies may use cookies to collect personal information such as device identifiers, online or network activity information, commercial information or inferences, such as information about the websites you visit over time and the advertisements you click on to deliver advertisements that are targeted to you. This information from or about you helps our third-party advertising companies understand how you respond to these ads. Some privacy laws may consider this activity to be targeted advertising or a sale or sharing of your personal data. You can manage how these technologies operate through the privacy choices we make available below.
  • Analytics Providers and Data Technology Vendors: Services that help us measure traffic, usage patterns and site performance, like web analytics platforms and A/B testing tools. We work with data technology vendors, which help us manage the data we collect, and with measurement and analytics vendors, which provide us with aggregate reporting on our Sites' performance and the effectiveness of our ads. We use analytics services, like Google Analytics and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, to learns about how visitors use Sites.   Information on how Adobe processes personal data and uses cookies can be found at Adobe Privacy Policy, Adobe Cookies Policy and Adobe Enterprise Data Protection TermsTo learn about Google Analytics, see their Google Analytics Terms of Use and Google Privacy Policy.
  • Social Media and Embedded Content Providers: Platforms that enable features such as embedded videos, social sharing tools or login integrations. These providers may set cookies when their content appears on our Sites. We work with these platforms, including social media platforms, to show you ads or measure the effectiveness of our ads. We may convert your email address, telephone number or other personal information in a coded way so these platforms can match you with users or other data they may have on their platform. This matching enables us to deliver advertisements to you and others on these platforms. For more information on processing and exercising your privacy choices with these providers, please see the Social Media Choices section below.

How can you manage your privacy choices?

It is important that you are able to control your personal information. You have several ways to control how cookies are used on our Sites. These options allow you to manage preferences for analytics, personalization, targeted advertising and other forms of data processing that may occur when cookies are placed on your device. Our privacy choices may work together, but because these tools operate independently, you may need to set your preferences in multiple places to fully manage your cookie settings.

Consent Management Platform

We use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) that includes cookie settings to respect your privacy choices. Certain Sites activate cookies and similar tracking technologies after receiving your consent through the CMP. For some of our Sites, first-time visitors will be presented with a cookie banner where they can choose which cookies to allow. You can turn off some cookies, but not the essential ones. Alternatively, some of our Sites have a notice of acceptance that appears on the cookie banner. If you block cookies, some Site features may not work, and ads may be less relevant. Even if you opt out of targeted advertising, you may still see our advertisements while you are browsing, but they may not be targeted to you based on your interests. Your selections made through the CMP apply only to the browser and device you use at the time of your choice.

Advertising Industry Opt-Out Tools

While these opt-outs do not replace or override choices made through a Site’s cookie banner or preference center, you can also opt out of interest-based ads through industry-supported opt-out programs, which allow you to control how participating companies use cookies and similar technologies. The following tools do not block ads entirely, but limit the use of cookies for behavioral advertising:

Some cookies we use are not part of these programs. To learn more about opting out of these cookies, please visit the following:

Ad Blockers and Tracking Protection Tools

You may use browser extensions or built‑in tracking protection features to reduce or block certain cookies, pixels and scripts. These tools vary in effectiveness and may interfere with site functionality, including login features, video playback or embedded content. You need to opt out on each device you use. The Digital Advertising Alliance also offers an AppChoices for opting out of the collection of cross-app data on a mobile device for interest-based advertising.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal to websites. Under the laws of several U.S. states, website and online service operators are required to disclose how they respond to web browser ‘do not track’ signals. Tyson Foods does not currently take actions to respond to Do Not Track signals, as a uniform standard for such response has not yet been established. However, where required by law, we will treat browser-based signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as requests to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Do Not Track is enabled for international (non-U.S.) targeting cookies. Global Privacy Control is enabled for both U.S. and international regions.

Social Media Choices

Some social networks (such as Facebook) allow you to exercise ad choices, limit data collection and clear your history on that platform as well. For your convenience, we have provided links to some of the social networks:

Google Analytics also has a Browser Plugin available to download and install to disable Google Analytics across all websites. You can learn more about Google Analytics and how to opt out here.

Browser Settings and Controls

Browser-based controls are supplemental to and may not override consent choices already captured through a Site’s cookie banner or preference center. Through browser-based controls, you can change your browser or device settings to manage or delete cookies. These are also device and browser-specific and may depend on the type of cookie. You may be able to: set your browser to warn you when you get a cookie, block cookies automatically, block only third-party cookies, use private or incognito browsing modes to limit tracking (but these have limits), clear cookies when you close your browser or delete existing cookies. If you block or delete cookies, some website features may not function properly. To find out more about how to use your browser to control cookies, please see:
