To launch its new campaign, Jimmy Dean brand is rallying America to “Shine On” and spread optimism by joining the Shine it Forward movement, kicking off today with #MondaysForGood.
The idea is simple: Jimmy Dean brand is encouraging people to make Monday mornings matter by doing something nice for others. Whether it’s volunteering, buying coffee for a co-worker, or holding the door open for a stranger, no act of kindness is too big or too small.

The Jimmy Dean brand is making its own commitment, giving its team members the ability to take Monday morning, November 2nd, off to help others. Today, Jimmy Dean office employees will participate in the first of several planned Shine it Forward activities by packing thousands of bags of food for children in need. The brand’s mission also includes an invitation for people to tweet @JimmyDean using #MondaysForGood and share what they would do if given a Monday morning off to do good. Jimmy Dean brand will Shine it Forward throughout the day by highlighting individuals’ personal #MondaysForGood stories and images on its social channels.

The new Shine it Forward campaign marks the transition of the brand’s iconic sun character, who appeared in the brand’s ads for 10 years. The sun character embodied positivity and optimism and has evolved to a compelling call-to-action designed to inspire the power of individuals to make positive change. Created by Ogilvy & Mather Chicago, the integrated marketing campaign debuts with a new :30 TV spot featuring Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and also includes digital, social, in-store, PR and influencer programs. The Shine it Forward campaign will support the entire Jimmy Dean brand portfolio and will roll out over the next few months and throughout 2016.
The new spot begins with a man starting his day with a delicious Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich, which instantly fills him up with morning goodness. As he sets out on his morning commute, his optimism becomes apparent, with a sun halo appearing above his head. His optimism is then passed from person to person as they, in turn, Shine it Forward to others.
