LULAC and Tyson Foods Donate 33,000 Pounds of Protein to Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, D.C.

Springdale, Arkansas – February 14, 2017 – Today, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and Tyson Foods joined forces to donate 33,000 pounds of protein to the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, D.C. The donation kicked off the LULAC Legislative Conference and Awards Gala and the Emerge Latino Conference taking place this week in Washington. Thanks to a longstanding partnership, LULAC and Tyson Foods have donated more than 1 million pounds of protein to food banks across the country and Puerto Rico since 2009.

Tyson Foods Announces Collaboration with North Carolina A & T State University

Tyson Foods, Inc. and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University are collaborating to offer a new course on effective agricultural communications, company and school officials announced today.

The course is designed to expose N.C. A&T students to a variety of food and agricultural issues and key strategies for talking about them. More than a dozen subject matter experts from Tyson Foods will present to the class, within A&T’s College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, during the Spring 2017 semester.
