CHICAGO  February 10, 2016 – Chicago youth are getting hands-on experience through the Healthy Habits program that will help them learn how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and well-being. Youth from Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago will participate in Triple PlaySM, which is a national program offered by Boys & Girls Clubs of America that educates youth and provides access to nutrition education and physical activity.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago will use the $40,000 Tyson Foods grant to enhance existing programming and target three Clubs in high-need communities: East Garfield Park (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Club), Near West Side (James Jordan Club), and Washington Heights/West Pullman (Morgan Park Club). All three clubs serve residents who live in food deserts in communities with a high incidence of obesity.
